Engineer Ibrahim Massoud Chairman of WEPCO: the company has put down plans for the fast exploration and excavation at the Western Desert and the shipping to take advantage of the infrastructure and increase productivity.

Engineer Ibrahim Massoud, Chairman of Western Desert Operating Petroleum Company “WEPCO”, inspects ElHamra Terminal to supervise the final work of the new shipping line of 8.5 kilometers in the Mediterranean Sea at Elhamra Terminal petroleum port, and that to initiate the initial trial of the new system at tankers shipping operations through PMS Company.

The Chairman then headed to BADR 1 field to inspect the new exploration well BED 4-6 and survey the findings of the excavation operations of the well inspected by the company’s general administrations and departments of exploration, petroleum engineering and excavation following the directions of Engineer Tarek El Mala Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources with the goal of increasing the production rates of crude oil by the end of the year.

The visit came as a field tour of the Chairman and Director of the Western Desert Operating Petroleum Company “WEPCO” following the directions of Engineer Tarek El Mala Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources number 2111 of the year 2019 concerning the necessity of chairmans being at the fields of operations.

Engineer Ibrahim Massoud, Chairman and Director of WEPCO, confirms that the company has put down plans for the fast exploration and excavation at the Western Desert and the shipping to take advantage of the infrastructure and increase productivity abiding to QHSE standards.

He added that the shipping line project and the new exploration well BED 4-6 are some of the vital economic and strategic projects in the exploration and excavation, as well as the land and marine shipping in Egypt.
