Occupational Health Safety & Environmental Procedures Protection Policy
Following consultation and engagement with employees, and in alignment with the policies of all stakeholders, the company’s senior management has established the core policies and procedures related to occupational safety and health, environmental protection, and operational safety, with a firm commitment to the following principles:
- Protecting the environment and preventing pollution by reducing harmful emissions, as well as solid and liquid wastes.
- Conducting activities with minimal safety risks (ALARP) and ensuring safe, healthy working conditions to prevent workplace injuries and occupational illnesses.
- Ensuring the safety of the employees, contractors, nearby communities, environmentally sensitive areas, and all individuals present at or near the company’s worksites, including adjacent nature reserves.
- Establishing clear objectives for occupational safety, health, environmental protection, and operational safety, in addition to continuously monitoring, addressing and eliminating barriers to their achievement.


- Implementing and maintaining the Operations Management System in full compliance with local and international laws, EGPC requirements, and industry standards related to occupational safety, health, environmental protection, and operational safety.
- Eliminating risks and hazards through an effective loss control system to prevent environmental incidents, asset damage, occupational illnesses, and work-related injuries.
- Establishing an integrated system to manage safety, health, and environmental protection across all projects and operations, ensuring compliance at all stages (design, construction, operation), applying risk controls, and continuously improving the system, including contractors and sub-contractors.
- Promoting employees and representatives involvement in decision-making processes related to occupational safety, health, and operational safety.
- Ensuring conformity to the internal and external requirements concerning the environmental, health and safety, and operations safety management systems.
- Fostering a strong operational safety culture across all sites by establishing dedicated, cross-departmental committees to oversee system requirements, report safety and health data, and ensure transparent environmental and operational safety management
- Enhancing medical services and support overall employee health and well-being.
- Continuously upgrading marine pollution control equipment to effectively respond to crude oil spills on land and at sea.
- Ensuring effective communication and understanding of occupational safety, health, and environmental protection policies among all employees and relevant stakeholders.
- Delivering comprehensive training at all organizational levels to build awareness and accountability in safety, health, and environmental protection, through certified external courses, internal sessions, and regular awareness campaigns for both staff and contractors.
- Providing sustained guidance, training, and supervision to embed safety, health, and environmental performance into all job roles, fostering a culture of proactive compliance among employees and contractors.
