On behalf of the Board of Directors and the employees of the company, I would like to thank all of our customers for trusting us, without which our success would not have been possible.
Every road has a beginning, an anecdote, and what we have learned in this life is that success takes years, and perhaps decades, for man to reap the first fruits of it. The first oil tanker of the Western Desert Fields was shipped on 9/16/1968, after five long decades “strenuous, full of challenges and difficulties,” since our presence in the field of crude oil production, storage, and shipping in 1963.
With our unceasing efforts to strive for a better tomorrow, and in accordance with the Ministry of Petroleum’s strategy to increase production and shipping scale; we are proud of our company becoming one of the pioneers in the field of storing, loading, and discharging crude oil. Also, the operation of the Al-Hamra Oil Port with the boosting of its production capacity of the Badr 1 Site, becoming a key player in the development of Western Desert, meanwhile benefiting from its oil wealth.
Our goal at The Western Desert Operating Petroleum Company – WEPCO is to continuously develop and enhance, through 100% Egyptian hands, the maritime and land storage, and shipping facilities for the Al-Hamra Oil Port Site and raise the production capacity of the Badr 1 Site by to achieve the highest degree of user satisfaction for the facilities. As a company that accommodates most of the Western Desert’s crude oil production, we are confident that we will continue to provide services at the highest levels of modern technology, at the best cost, and at the highest level of safety to companies operating in the region.
Our priorities are to continuously improve the quality of services provided to users through continuous learning and providing our company’s employees with high quality training, whom are considered to be the most important asset and the pivotal factor in the company’s attainment of its status in the petroleum sector.
